Tinley Park Park District (Session 2) Ice Hockey
The Chicago Blackhawks are proud to announce the return of our ‘Try Hockey for Free’ event designed to help kids overcome the initial barriers to the sport and get them excited to come back for more. In partnership with several community ice rinks across the state of Illinois and bordering suburbs of Indiana and Wisconsin, including Fifth Third Arena, the two-day event is set to take place the weekend of Oct. 12-13.
At Tinley Park, participants will be introduced to ball hockey, a variation of ice hockey. Ball hockey is played on a non-ice court with shoes, instead of skates, and ball, instead of a puck. Tinley Park will host back-to-back sessions for those interested in learning the sport of hockey. Each participant who attends the event will receive a Blackhawks branded jersey, a black Connor Bedard t-shirt, a Sherwood hockey stick and a ticket to a Blackhawks game for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Advanced registration is strongly encouraged as very limited walk-ups will be accepted.
